IMM Carehub is Officially Open!

On the palindrome day of 22 February 2022, IMM Carehub - Malaysia’s first research-based active aging lifestyle centre for the silver society was officially launched by Dato’ Dr. Jacob Thomas, Champion of Private Healthcare Productivity Nexus under the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and the Group Medical Advisor of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care.
IMM Carehub is a one-stop centre that covers the full spectrum of wellness aspects in physical, mental, nutritional, and social to address problems leading to aged care by offering evidence-based programs that are customized and personalized to an individual’s capability and condition.
Equipped with the world’s advanced technology on preventive and rehabilitative solution, which are clinically proven to increase muscle fibre, power and range of motions by 49%; the centre aims to educate the baby-boomers in leading a healthy and independent lifestyle.
Delivering his speech at the event, Dato’ Dr. Jacob said IMM Carehub is Malaysia’s first privately held research-based senior rehab in the safest manner and IMM carehub plays an important role to educate older adults the importance of strength and resistance training to manage mobility and independence.
“I was fortunate to have a look at the equipment which helps to build up the strength of your muscles, improve your gait and your balance and prevent falls. In line with Dr. Jillian’s vision of making ageing healthy, remaining strong, living independently through active and productive ageing is very significant in empowering one’s golden years and enhancing the quality of life as we age,” he added.
He added that, as we age, we need to look at creating lifestyle opportunities, rooted in physical fitness, mental and cognitive health, enjoyment and social connections. All these are important because it is not just about being free from disease but we need to be socially acceptable and be able to interact and be involved in active ageing.
Moved by her own family incident, Dr. Jillian Yeoh spent years in Switzerland researching the solutions to active ageing and today she has brought it back to Malaysia to redefine ageing and provide a better quality of life for our senior citizens.
Dr. Jillian Yeoh, the Founder of IMM Carehub said “It doesn’t matter how young you are, but you have to add life to your years.”
We also had the opportunity of hosting several stakeholders at the launch. From the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), 500 Global, Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council and others.
