Learn the techniques to create acrylic paintings with professional artist Lisa Teo in this face-to-face art class. (Optional: Exhibit & sell your paintings too) Aim of the Art Course: 1. Appreciate art as a form of self-expression, creativity and joy 2. Exposure to art as a form of therapy to reduce stress and boost general mood 3. Socialize and bond with classmates to create an art community at IMM Carehub 4. Experience the process of creating, exhibiting and selling an acrylic painting like a professional artist 5. Gain confidence and knowledge when engaging with art in art galleries and museums or when conversing with others about art 6. Appreciate painting as an artform that contributes to the culture of a society and gives value to the community Suitable for: 1. Anyone who wants to pick up a new hobby (eg retirees, housewives) 2. Therapeutic or healing purposes 3. To improve cognitive function (Alzheimer/Parkinson patients) Workshop Details: Time : 3.00pm - 4.30pm Materials & Tool: Included in the fees Fee: RM150 per session About the Instructor: Lisa is a lawyer-turned-artist with 10 years’ experience creating, exhibiting and selling her paintings. She also creates one-of-a-kind customized paintings for clients. She enjoys teaching art and aims to encourage adults and working professionals to turn to art as therapy or hobby. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and nature activities, keeping fit, traveling and spending time with her two teenage children.
