Have fun in this 1-hour brush lettering workshop with Teacher Jenice. Participants will learn to write basic lettering, and methods to craft lettering with different mediums. Brush lettering is considered modern calligraphy with different use of pressure applied to downstroke and upstroke, with commonly used flexible brush or marker tips. Brush lettering is trending for its accessibility, to train new calligraphers to control their hands while practicing angles and pressures. Apart from that, each curve requires a transition from heavy to light pressure and vice versa, thus, the practitioner often needs to observe to get them to look smooth and natural. The saying goes practice makes perfect fits well as consistent practice will help to develop muscle memory while making your lettering style more natural. Over time, mastering lettering will be a breeze as writing your name.
